1951-52ರಲ್ಲಿ ಹನುಮಂತನಗರ ಬಡಾವಣೆ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಿದ ಆಗಿನ ಮೈಸೂರು ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಕೆಳದರ್ಜೆ ನೌಕರರಿಗೆಂದೆ ಕೇವಲ 25×45 ಅಳತೆಯ ನಿವೇಶನವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿ ಪ್ರತಿ ನಿವೇಶನವನ್ನು ರೂ.500-00 ಗಳಿಗೆ ಹಂಚಿತು. ಆಗ ಈ ಬೆಲೆ ದುಬಾರಿ ಎನಿಸಿದ್ದು ಬಹಳ ನಿವೇಶನಗಳು ಖಾಲಿ ಇದ್ದು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರಿಗೆ ಹಂಚಲಾಯಿತು. ಆದರೂ ಈ ಬಡಾವಣೆ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಯಾಗಲು ಬಹಳ ದಿನಗಳೇ ಬೇಕಾಯಿತು.
